A bright future for our National Media Museum.

A bright future for our National Media Museum.

I am proud of the National Media Museum, which described in the House of Commons today as one of Bradford’s cultural treasures.

Given the importance of the Media Museum to Bradford, I was delighted to receive assurances from the Minister both about keeping the museum here in Bradford and importantly keeping the entry free.

It was a Labour Government that first introduced free museum entry, a policy that has, over the years, allowed thousands of families’ access museums, such as the National Media Museum and other cultural activities they may not otherwise have been able to enjoy.
