Today I visited Princes state-of-the art soft drinks factory to see at first hand the company’s investment in Bradford. It’s great to see the commitment that Princes has to this site and its employees, and to the future of manufacturing in Bradford South
The Princes plant at Weaverthorpe Road, in Bradford South, employs more than 350 people and is the company’s largest soft drinks manufacturing site – producing in excess of 400 million bottles of soft drinks each year. Princes recently completed a new Ready To Drink bottling line and has invested significantly at the site over the last four years in on site warehousing and ingredients preparation.
Bradford also hosts Princes soft drinks development laboratory, recognised for its work in reducing sugar content in the products manufactured at the site.
Manufacturing is hugely important to Bradford. More than a fifth of economic output in Bradford South comes from making things. The investment that Princes has made in this high-tech facility builds on our city’s proud manufacturing heritage and is welcome news for the Bradford economy.
